Despite the difficult condx we were able to reach a new SSB Fieldday QSO
record! The OE team had hourly QSO rates of up to 125 to W/VE in the
evening so that most of the 80m operating was shifted towards the second
part of the night. 40m was long from the beginning so that DL and G was
not workable before late morning on Sunday.

We liked Carl's portable tower so much that our tribander ended up a bit
on the high side for the usual Sporadic E QSOs. When looking up to the
site from the valley the beam seemed to hang real high above the
hilltop...

Many thanks to Manfred for assembling all the antennas lonely on Friday
evening, to the OE gang for coming over with their great portable tower
and "running 'em" so fast on 20m and to DG4BUL and DF5UL for helping out
with some hardware work every year!
