Due to the WX conditions leading to some severe antenna failures we had a hard time to get the station ready. Being one of the 40m operators it was especially hard to operate the contest with a broken main antenna and a totally ice-covered 40-2CD which showed near infinite SWR within the CW band. We tried to replace the KLM with a new 3el fullsize Yagi on Friday evening, but with the wind blowing too heavily it was impossible to do the job. Another problem was Writelog constantly losing its network connection which cost a few multipliers. At the end we lost to DQ0Q@DF0HQ but I enjoyed being part of a M/M with lots of nice people at a contesters heaven place. 73, Stefan DL1IAO@contesting.com http://www.dl1iao.com
